Hii
i am finding it difficult to manage the package management using pkgadd
as there are lot of dependency required packages where are not able to
install.
Also i am able to install onyl those packages which have the extension
.pkg and the rest with .tar.gz are not recognized as valid formats

It's true that this can be annoying. There is a plan to fix this
though, apparently.

i have tried to get pkgsrc thru cvs and it doesnt work.

Sounds like you need to find yourself a mentor who can teach you Solaris.
I suggest you start reading the materials on Solaris at
