Xsun has XKB, it's just off by default. To change
Xsun on x86 keyboard
layout, run kdmconfig (as root) and choose a new
layout.
This is a big problem for those of us who use more than one (often three!)
languages simultaneously.

Yes - for that you need to use input methods or other i18n
support that I'm not familiar
