Hi Shawn,
Thank you for the info, did not know that the build system had so little
opportunities for distribution.
Unfortunately, this is the most powerful hardware I have available here, so I
will have to make use of it.
The only upgrade I can do additionally is to add another 512MB to one
Hi Ian,
Yes, you are right. There are several pc's here that are much more powerful.
However, although I haven't tried it myself, my impression is that the
cross-compiler (i86 gcc that produces sparc code) is not able to compile the
whole kernel without problem. But I might be wrong. Would be

Process 10 has it's stderr open on the console in O_WRONLY mode.
And a svcprop svc:/system/install-discovery:default

Even if it is Solaris-based and/or Sun-licensed? :-)
Don't mean to be picky, but the more emphatic part of my comment was if the

Thanks for the heads-up on the security-discuss group!
To answer your question, I am interested in logging telnet logon/authentication

Can you file a bug? solaris/solaris_install/install_setup would be the

Hi Steve,
I am working with the Virtual Appliance group here at Sun. We are presently

I am wondering if I can install both Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris (11) on the

Thanks for the response Kevin.
It appears that the issue is indeed 64bit booting in Nevada.
This time around I modified my grub config to boot the 32bit kernel

this seems to have fixed the issue.
