Hi,
I tried to build libcrypto.so.0.9.7 and libssl.so.0.9.7 (from the
0.9.7b release source) on SunOS
I got no response about where to send the patch, so I compressed and
attached it in gz/b64 format.

Hello,
I'm building openssl on multiple platforms, and noticed that it had no
provision for --exec-prefix that some other software libraries have. The

it for possible inclusion in the source tree? Please e-mail me if
you are interested in the patch (or if it's okay to mail it to the list).
Thanks -

I have built openssl successfully on Solaris by using these commands:
make -k clean dclean uninstall realclean distclean
sh ./config --prefix=$PREFIX --exec-prefix=$EXEC_PREFIX
make
make install
(I did patch Configure to support the --exec-prefix command, but this isn't
relevant here.)
I got no response about where to send the patch, so I compressed and
attached it in gz/b64 format.

What is the procedure for submitting a patch for OpenSSL?
E.g., do we mail it to someone in particular, post it to the list, ftp it to
a site, Usenet? Do we submit it per an RFC 1149-compliant technique?
Thanks,
