Your problem is nothing to do with OpenSSL.
This message is coming from the AIX compiler - it's license is number-of-users

Your build is taking a long time because the compiler is waiting for an empty

Err, wouldn't that be a bad idea, when different applications might want
to use different versions of OpenSSL?
We frequently get problems with our application, due to other rogue
applications that put their OpenSSL ddls into the standard %PATH%, for
example in the system32 directory, which can
Encrypted values are byte arrays, not strings. They may contain null
characters. So you can't use strlen(). It's a common error.

Hi,
I can't speak for Richard Koenning, or the core OpenSSL team, but, from my
position as a contributor of the AS/400-iSeries-i5 port, which also relies on
the EBCDIC patches, I can imagine that the core team will only include these in
the main development threads if there is somebody who can

Hi,
I've made a new port of OpenSSL version 0.9.8e for the AS/400 (iSeries).
OS/400 versions V5R1M0 upwards are supported.
It is based on the previous port for version 0.9.7d.
But it also adds a few more changes that (IMHO) improve the port and

Hi again,
It was pointed out to me by Marcel von Gunten ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) that I had submitted
my main diff in the incorrect format. Here I'm re-submitting with (hopefully) the
correct format.
Cheers,

Hi,
I've made
Slight misunderstanding, I think Steven was commenting about the lack of reply to my
first mail, which asked where to make the submission of the port.
I'd been a bit lazy and hadn't searched the web site fully, to find out that I just
had to mail it to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
And if anybody has,
Hi,
I've made a new port of OpenSSL version 0.9.7d for the AS/400 (iSeries).
OS/400 versions V5R1M0 upwards are supported.
It is based on a previous port (version 0.9.7b?) by Brian Morris ([EMAIL PROTECTED],
ticket #701), and also includes the new EBCDIC patches by Richard Koenning ([EMAIL
Hi,
I don't know if you have any responses about this, but this is still an error for
openssl 0.9.7d, on HP-UX 11-23.
But it is fixed by reducing the optimisation to +O2.
Hope that's of use.
