Here is the status update / focus settings mail for w12.


Bugs


One new bug from last week:

strips Exception kwargs
The bug refers to an oslo.serialization change as the reason of the 
changed behavior but I failed to reproduce the expected behavior with 
older than that oslo.serialization version. Also there is a fix 
proposed that I have to look at https://review.openstack.org/#/c/554607/



Versioned notification transformation
-
There are 3 patches that has positive feedback (but no +2 as I'm the 
author of those) and needs core attention

Introduce instance.lock and instance.unlock notifications

Bugs

notifications are sent with inconsistent timestamp format. Fix is ready

Versioned notification transformation

Most of the transformation patches are in merge conflict. There is a 
patch to avoid such trivial merge conflicts in the future:

The following patches are needed for searchlight to be able to switch 
to versioned notifications hence they are in focus:

Searchlight integration

bp is a hard dependency for the integration work. Searchlight needs 
instance.volume_attach and instance.volume_detach notifications to be 
transformed before they can switch to the nova's versioned 
notifications. So we treat those transformation patches with priority.
