They haven't started yet. Not sure if we'll be squeezing one in before
summit or not. The proposed meeting time patch only just recently
merged (Thursdays UTC )

https://review.openstack.org/#/c/128332/2

so perhaps thats why its not there yet.

Yes, either additions to the existing files or add new ones if there is nothing
currently appropriate.

We still need to talk about the exact process for accepting a patch yet, but I
was thinking about something along the lines of (and haven't really discussed
it with anyone yet):

- must be up for at least a week
- discussed at a weekly api-wg meeting
- no more than one negative vote (ok we might need something to break
a deadlock if we really can't get consensus over something but
I think there should be a lot of incentive to try very hard
  to do so).

Though for now any setup work in the repository is getting approved by Jay or I
if it looks reasonable.

That sounds good to me. Steve has a proposed patch we can use here:

Re: [openstack-dev] [api] API Workgroup git repository

2014-10-22 Thread Clark Boylan
It is a code change :) Everything is a code change around here. You will
want to update the projects.yaml file in openstack-infra/project-config
[0]. If you add a 'homepage:
https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/API_Working_Group' key value pair to the
api-wg dict there the jeepyb tooling should update the project homepage
in github for you. If it doesn't then we probably have a bug somewhere
and that should be fixed.

[0]
https://git.openstack.org/cgit/openstack-infra/project-config/tree/gerrit/projects.yaml#n287

All that said, we really try to downplay the importance of github as
well. It is a mirror for us, but it is a discoverable mirror so updating
the 'homepage' is probably a reasonable thing to do.

I think that as soon as possible the wiki pages should be deleted and

wiki gets lots of traffic from web searches and stale content there really
hurts us.

[openstack-dev] [api] API Workgroup git repository

2014-10-21 Thread Christopher Yeoh
Hi,

The API Workgroup git repository has been setup and you can access it
here.

http://git.openstack.org/cgit/openstack/api-wg/

There is some content there though not all the proposed guidelines from
the wiki page are in yet:

https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Governance/Proposed/APIGuidelines

Please feel free to start submitting patches to the document.

I have submitted a patch to convert the initial content from markdown to
rst and setup the tox targets to produce an html document. Seemed to be
an easier route as it seems to be the preferred format for OpenStack
projects and we can just copy all the build/check bits from the specs
repositories. Also doesn't require any changes to required packages.

https://review.openstack.org/130120

Until this is merged its probably better to base any patches on this
one.
