Hi Peter
You will need to adjust the concurrent NVTs parameter to best suit your
client machines, but with the extra CPU on the server, you can scan more
targets concurrently, so the whole scan will complete quicker.
So, set the "Maximum concurrently executed NVTs per host" to a nice low

Hi
You can daisy-chain one task after another using the alerts bit. So, setup
an alert which uses the 'Start Task' method on "Task run status changed (to
Done)", then add that alert to the first task.

Not seen that. I use Postgres and haven't seen that error, although my
manager instance is still on the older 7.0.1 version (compiled).

Hi
Many thanks. Fixed now.
I will let Mohammad know so that he can change the default and init scripts
accordingly.

Hi
I've just upgraded GSA from 7.0.2 to 7.0.3 from the ubuntu repository
maintained by Mohammad Razavi.
On 7.0.2 I was proxying the GSA instance with NGINX, which worked nicely.
But, with 7.0.3, I now get a "The request contained an unknown or invalid

This sounds like a permission issue.
I'll have a look back at my documentation to see if I can find out where

Hi Josemar
You need to compile the manager from source to enable support for Postgres.

Hi
I also have master/slave setup, with the master running Postgres and the
slave running sqlite3. Seem to connect and scan as requested, the only
issue I've found over an old Openvas8 remote scanner is that the
application list and operating system values are not populated, which is
weird.

Hi there Rui
The scanner service changed the way it works in version 9, it does not now
advertise directly on the network.
I've not tried this yet myself, but it's been suggested that you can
install the manager process on the remote scanners and use that for the
main manager connection, the remo

I'm not an SQL specialist, it's been a while since I did any SQL. but I'll
see what I can come up with.
I am using Postgres 9.5+, so the upsert suggestion is also useful.

Hi
Just wondering if someone has a Postgres equivalent of
greenbonde-scapdata-sync and greenbone-certdata-sync.
The xsl SQL uses 'INSERT OR REPLACE" which is sqllite specific, so I get an
error when running them.
Can't seem to find anything online.
Thanks
Roger
Thanks Jan
I'll have a look at some of the options.

Hi
I've just noticed that the 2015/gb_office_suite_ms15-081.nasl script is
referencing the incorrect file version format for vbe7.dll.
The line in question is line 176:-

Hi
I notice in the release notes that the OpenVAS 9 Scanner has changed from
TCP to a Unix Socket.
I currently have a distributed setup with various scanners scattered around
the place and a central Manager on Version 8.
I've now built the new OpenVAS9 manager with Postgres support, but can't
