Re: [Openvas-discuss] Observers and Overrides
What actions do I need to take to create permissions for an observer user to a note or override? I have done this for tasks, but could not identify any possibility to do it for notes. Created a Permission for Observer user for the note, applioed owner=any in the filter and there it is in the Notes Management. Will improvements be published within OpenVAS-7 updates already, or do I have to wait until OpenVAS-8 will be released? In general we backport many improvements as long as they do not require new database model or new OMP. [Openvas-discuss] install help
Just tried to install openvas on a clean new install of Debian 7.8 As a VMware server . SSH is the only server option running. Followed the exact steps as listed here for debian: http://www.openvas.org/install-packages-v6.html#openvas_debian_obs I'm installing remotely (over an ssh connection), not on a local device, when I go to: https://serveripaddress:9392 There's nothing there. Using Zenmap port scan finds no open ports at 9392. I tried downloading and running the openvas-check-setup, however when executed it returns: ./openvas-check-setup root@myserver:/home/myname# bash: ./openvas-check-setup: /bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory Looking at the /var/log/openvas/openvasmd.log file only shows: md main:WARNING:2015-03-09 18h34.17 utc:14290: sql_x: sqlite3_prepare failed: no such table: main.meta GLib:WARNING:2015-03-09 18h34.34 utc:14290: g_strcompress: trailing \ What did I miss? -- Brian ___ Openvas-discuss mailing list Openvas-discuss@wald.intevation.org https://lists.wald.intevation.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openvas-discuss

[Openvas-discuss] Allow multiple login on same user?
Hello all, Is it possible to allow multiple logins on same user on gsa web interface? How to do this? Right now if I'm logged in on admin user, and someone else logs in with same credentials, I get kicked out. Re: [Openvas-discuss] Allow multiple login on same user?
Hi, Is it possible to allow multiple logins on same user on gsa web interface? this should be possible with an upcoming version of OpenVAS. At least the current GOS 3.1 (based on OpenVAS) is providing this feature when using two different browsers: http://greenbone.net/technology/gos_release_history.html#3_1 ___ Openvas-discuss mailing list Openvas-discuss@wald.intevation.org https://lists.wald.intevation.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openvas-discuss
Re: [Openvas-discuss] Strange behaviour when working on scan configs
Hi, does anyone have any other ideas? This really keeps me from using my new OpenVAS7 setup. Thanks Winni - Original Message - From: Winfried Neessen nees...@cleverbridge.com To: openvas-discuss openvas-discuss@wald.intevation.org Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2015 10:03:54 PM Subject: Re: [Openvas-discuss] Strange behaviour when working on scan configs To be clear, does it work if you do this? - clone full and very deep - click the edit icon - click the topmost save config No, it doesn't. See: https://vimeo.com/120732590 It should only grow by a few MB. Are you running scans at the same time? No, but I ran a --rebuild, which I think caused most of the growth. Hmm, the error you are getting is on the GSA side so I doubt it will even show in the Manager logs. What browser are you using? Perhaps try another. Confirmed the behaviour with Chrome, Firefox and Safari on MacOS X and Windows. I am running the following libs and versions: - openvas-libraries-7.0.7 - greenbone-security-assistant-5.0.5 - openvas-manager-5.0.8 - openvas-scanner-4.0.5 - libmicrohttpd 0.9.37 - glib2 2.42.1 - gnutls 3.3.12 - zlib 1.2.8 - libpcap 1.6.2 - gpgme 1.5.3 - libxml2 2.9.2 - libxslt 1.1.28 Maybe one of those libs has some default limitation, that doesn't allow specific POST sizes or limits the XML/XSLT stuff? Honestly I'm lost what to do next.
