[opnfv-tech-discuss] [doctor] Danube plan overview

2016-11-22 Thread Yujun Zhang
Hi doctors,

I'm reviewing the requirement document for an internal presentation. There
is a release plan for Arno and it looks good[1].

We have already sorted out the working items for Danube release, but it
would be better if we can have an overview about the goals we want to
achieve.

@Ryota, what do you think?

(testresults.opnfv.org/test/api) Documentation

Hi Mark,

If you want to post results you need:

1) Project declarated in the DB. Done for Storperf:
http://testresults.opnfv.org:80/test/api/v1/projects/storperf
2) Declare test cases under the project. Currently 1 test for Storperf:
http://testresults.opnfv.org:80/test/api/v1/projects/storperf/cases

Once that is done, you need to do a call to the test api from your code. This
is an example using python:
https://git.opnfv.org/functest/tree/functest/utils/functest_utils.py#n185

The api is on http://testresults.opnfv.org/test/api/v1 and this is the model
schema you need to post a result:

{
  "project_name": "",
  "scenario": "",
  "stop_date": “",
  "case_name": "",
  "build_tag": "",
  "version": "",
  "pod_name": "",
  "criteria": "",
  "installer": "",
  "start_date": "",
  "details": ""
}

Serena can help out since she is in charge of the API/DB.

Jose

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] [polestar]:next call

2016-11-22 Thread Dave Neary
Hi,

The biweekly OPNFV C call is on Monday at 10, a VCO sync call is at
11am on Monday, Tuesday at 9 is open for me, and while I have a conflict
at 10 on Wednesday, I don't see anything OPNFV related that conflicts
between 10 and 12 that day.

My vote would be for 9am on Tuesday (EST).

Thanks,
Dave.

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] Functest Addition for Barometer

2016-11-22 Thread Jose Lausuch
Hi Calin,

I think this is more than enough. It would be appreciated if you create a wiki
page with this information, so that we can link it from JIRA/gerrit if needed.

About the procedure you have described, point 2 is not needed. We are trying to
get rid of exec_tests.sh in Danube and use all python module calls. With
regards to the High Level Testing Procedure, where is collected.conf located?
In the controller nodes? Will the test case need to collect information
directly from the deployment?

Thanks,
Jose

[opnfv-tech-discuss] Meetings discussion (GoToMeeting, meetings info on wiki, etc)

2016-11-22 Thread Raymond Paik
Continuing the conversation from the TSC call...

   - One proposal was to have a single recurring meeting per each GTM
   account (tech-proje...@opnfv.org & tech-projec...@opnfv.org) so that
   individual project meeting won't get disconnected when someone else dials
   for another meeting with a different access code. If there's a consensus
   for this (it did sound like it on the call), I can create a new/global
   recurring meeting for each account and delete other individual project
   meetings.
   - On the wiki front, there are two places where meeting information
   needs to be updated on the main meetings page (
   https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/meetings).  The calendar on the
   right-hand side of the page plus the list of meetings on the left. I
   personally find the calendar view useful to get a sense of what meetings
   are taking place each day. As for the list of meeting on the left, does it
   make sense to maintain this list when we also have daughter pages such as
   https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/meetings/Release?  In addition, some
   project wiki pages have meeting information on their project pages. I
   think this is more a decision on how/where the community wants to maintain
   meeting information. If the community agrees that each project, work
   groups, etc. will maintain daughter pages (e.g.
   https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/meetings/ABC) I think this will simplify
   things as people will only need to maintain meeting information in 2 places
   (calendar + daughter page) vs. 4 today as Trevor Copper suggested on the
   call.
   - Another reminder on conferencing tools. Some people are already doing
   this, but if you have access to other conferencing tools (e.g. through
   work) and you don't need all the features of GTM (e.g. screen sharing),
   there's no need to use OPNFV GTM accounts for all project meetings.
   Getting more GTM accounts not only costs money for OPNFV, but it also
   becomes more difficult to manage.

Please reply to the thread with your comments/questions.

Thanks,

Ray

I agree Ash, that should be the priority for the next call.

Once we have a time right I’ll set the agenda and publish the materials I was
going to present last week for Margaret to use for the call.

Hi Margaret,

One of the main things we've been waiting to address is the charter for
Polestar now that SPC has been disbanded, since it's what sanctioned Polestar.
In our last two meetings, we've hit this subject and then postpone further
talks until it gets addressed. While I don't have a problem shifting times, I
think we need to address this.

Best,

Ash

Can we move the meeting for next week to Mon 10 or 11 est or Tue 9 am est or
Wed 10'or 11 est?
We need to synch up. Thanks

[opnfv-tech-discuss] MANO-Related Project Huddle at Hackfest

2016-11-22 Thread SULLIVAN, BRYAN L
Hi all,

I created a page where we can organize around the agenda and attendance at a
3-hour session on Thurs 8th (8:00-11:00) on MANO-related projects and
cross-project topics.
https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/EVNT/Colorado+Hackfest-MANO+project+huddle

Depending upon the number of project members at the hackfest and conflicts with
other sessions, we can use the time however best fits those that can attend.
And we can also break it up, move it around, etc if needed for more attendance
on specific topics. I recommend we finalize the plan at the session on Monday
11AM.

Feel free to add your input and attendance to the page above or on the etherpad
https://etherpad.opnfv.org/p/colorado-hackfest-mano

Thanks,
Bryan Sullivan | AT

[opnfv-tech-discuss] [doctor][ves][barometer] Metrics and Events Requirements High Level List

2016-11-22 Thread Tahhan, Maryam
Hi folks

I've started a wiki to collect Metrics and Events Requirements from the VES and
Doctor Project to Barometer
(https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/fastpath/Metrics+and+Events+Requirements+High+Level+List
 ). The intention of this wiki is to list the metrics and events we need/would
like to collect for the NFVI. In addition to the metrics/events collected about
the NFVI, some information about the monitoring process (the process which
collects the information and metrics) itself is also required, so if you are
interested in this information please specify it also.

I'm hoping that this wiki will become a reference of all the events and metrics
that the VES and Doctor project needs and that barometer provides.
If you have any feedback please let me know

thanks in advance
Maryam
