Paul, thanks once again for your help. I think I'm whole now. There were
two slave checks to choose from, and it seems only one of them returns an OK
status.
In any event, my slave seems to be working properly and I now have a OK
check result. Much appreciated!

I'm running Multiple: check_opsview_slave_node %SLAVENODE% which reports my
slaves being up/down correctly.
Could you try that check and see what happens?
