You know, I read somewhere that you can make your log_buffer 10 percent of
your total sga. So if you had a 500mb sga you could have a 50 mb
log_buffer? What do you guys think, the illustrious Ross doesn't like such
large log_buffers.

don't know Ross, I didn't want to dig to deep into it. The way I see it is
as follows, "hey, that computer is a dual 550 with 10k rpm scsi drives and a gig
of ram. I betcha it would be faster than that piii600 with
LP command for other information (like subscribing).

would have to agree, it is not going to actually defrag the datafile
itself. NT defrag is not taking apart files and putting them back
together, it moves files around. It is going to consider the db file one
big file, it might not do
a computer."

To REMOVE yourself from
database ? I think the question is clear now Kevin. Is there another
way perhaps of creating this without having impact on the business by
shuting down the database ?

for Forms 6i for Win2k and I can't find it. So should I just use the one for
Winnt?
