guess is that Mitra is not experience memory shortage if he has 1/2gb of ram and
Oracle
is the
only thing running on it with SGA 50M. To verify, check whether the paging
is actually
doing
swapping. Look for scan rate when doing vmstat.
If
it's not memory shortage then the high paging
