Major Duties: · Provide software development expertise in developing a Network Monitoring platform · Analyze requirements, designs and develops software applications in client/server environment and/or web deployed applications · Interact with Project Manager to understand requirements and scope the systems · Participate in unit, integration, and system test procedures · Document final program and develop user instructions, software/hardware requirements, program input / outputs and execution / installation steps · Write and manage cron jobs for a large application · Read and analyze application level synthetic monitoring · Use monitoring tools like Zabbix, BAC, NSG, App Dynamics, Wiley · Hands on experience with manual and automated software deployments · Participate in on-call rotation · Handle multiple tasks - ensure that tasks are being completed in timely manner with limited direction · Participate in team meetings to discuss approaches to current projects · Comply with all established procedures and policies · Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance · Other functions that may be assigned *Minimum Requirements* · BS in Computer Science or equivalent · 2 - 5 years experience in Java, HTML5, JavaScript programming (Junior to Senior level) · 2 + years experience with MySQL, Oracle, PL/SQL and JDBC · 2 + years of experience Unix and Unix shell scripting · 1 – 2 years experience with monitoring tools such as Wiley, App Dynamics · Scripting experience as well as experience in configuration management, puppet tools, etc. · Experience with both frontend and backend web development · Experience in object oriented design · Experience with automated build environment, Jenkins, Maven or Ant · Experience with high transaction volumes, high data through put · Strong problem solving skills · Works well in a team environment · Excellent written and verbal communications skills · Strict adherence to development standards *Preferred Requirements:* · Experience with *HBASE, Hadoop* · Experience or knowledge of Cloudera, MapR, or HortonWorks · Experience with CM tools such as Puppet, MagNeto, Code Wash · Experience developing Network Monitoring applications · Experience in deployment administering web application containers like Tomcat, Glassfish, WebLogic · Experience in developing, deploying and administering Java applications using JAVA, J2EE · Experience with high transaction/throughput processing in a highly available environment · “Automate everything” mindset · Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations and interacting with company personnel on complex topics · Demonstrated experience of participating on teams of technical experts in a diverse, fast-paced, 7 x 24 environments · Proven experience meeting large deliverables with fixed and aggressive deadlines · Ability to present clear, concise reporting on concurrent projects and issues · Proven analytical and problem solving skills *DevOps Engineer #2* Task Description: · Build, configure, support and administer Jenkins and maven based system for · Continuous Integration and Inspection of Java /JEE applications · One click delivery system for Java /JEE applications oCreate and Manage Docker Images for oCouchbase oElasticsearch oTomcat Java based systems: · Create and Manage Puppet configuration for · Couchbase bucket creation, view creation, XDCR configurations · CouchBase node configuration · Elastic Search index creation · Elastic Search node configuration · Tomcat instance configuration (like datasource, JVM arguments) · Deployments oIntegrate Test Suite to Jenkins oIntegrate Code coverage tool like Sonar oCreate
