I am running windows XP pro with a SoundBlaster audigy card. My

I tried the cheatcode with no success. Does anyone have any other
ideas on how to fix this?

Using 0.7 alpha, as you know it is possible to select the OSS driver
if the ALSA cheatcode does not match. The cheatcode is oss.

The next test version will include more up-to-date ALSA drivers.

Best regards,

Gilles

I tried the oss cheatcode also as well as the alsa code. It's weird cause I
have a slightly older computer with the same specks and have no problems.

Sounds good, what if you have windows on the hard drive.
What code would you use, and will it load the boot loader.
Thanks Mike.

Hi, is there a way to install with out using the installer.
For example would copying the contents of the CD to a hard drive work.

Knoppix offers a solution to do this.

The Oralux CD can be copied for example to the hard disk at boot time,
using the tohd cheatcode. Then, the CD is no more necessary and can
be ejected.

The cheatcode is for example:
knoppix tohd=/dev/hda1

At next boot, the CD will start the copied file using:
knoppix fromhd=/dev/hda1

Also do you have to have a partition for this to work, or will it do this for
you if you have un partitioned space on the drive.
Thanks Mike.
