i prefer the usb stick, can stick in any computer or on a wireless router (like the one i have at home) anyone know of any nokia 3g phone (less than rm1k) that can work as a 3g modem for ubuntu ? this article suggest it is a simple process of just pluggin the usb cable between the nokia phone

You don't actually need 64-bit Linux on a 64-bit arch. My work machine is 64-bit but I installed SUSE Linux Ent Desktop 11 32-bit on it. The only issue as far as desktop annoyances are concerned for 64-bit machines is the lack of native Adobe Flash plugin for your browser i.e. no Youtube ==
