O.K. - I've never worked with github before. I will try my hand at it.
Thank you very much for your support.

The best place to reach the developers to report problems & make feature
suggestions is at the project's Github pages:

Can you record a GPX with a different app?

I checked:
- App uninstalled / newly installed / disabled and restarted; no improvement
- The problem is not the possible storage location, but that NO track is
produced at all. I can start/stop the recording, but nothing is recorded.
When the track is running, the distance (despite movement in
1) Has anyone suggested uninstalling the app, re-installing it,
shutting-down the phone and re-starting it?
2) Another (remote?) possibility. - Osmand experts will know. - Is it
possible that the tracks are being recorded on some other part of the
phone/memory/SD-card/etc?

Thanks. After a phone restart are the same problem: perfect live position
in the map (travel by bus), start track recording (the recording time
always 0.00.00 / meter 0 m) and not track are saved.
I'am open for any answers - thanks.

Try to restart the phone. The "Memory" authorization should be the correct
one.

Thanks

Can you check that OsmAnd has write access? This is usually the culprit for
some phones. Check OsmAnd permissions, on some systems it has to be set
manually, the app won't ask for it.

Unfortunately the app doesn't give me any of the stretches I put back and
also the duration always stays at zero. All other settings I have already
checked several times and I see no reason why this should not work. That's
why I joined this group and hope for a solution.
I would be pleased
If you're seeing your current location, then you're right, it doesn't seem like
a hardware problem. To answer your question, if you start recording a GPX, you
should see your distance traveled next to the red indicator on the GPX button.
And if you're set up on My places > tracks > Currently
Dear Bart
Yes, when I used OsmAnd or Google Maps and if i move (on foot / by car / by
train) then the map position always moves with the current position. So it
doesn't indicate a hardware problem to me. What should I read if I started
gpx?

When you press the GPX button and it turns red, the button should also indicate
the distance traveled. If it continues to say "GPX", then indeed, no GPX is
being recorded.
This sounds like a hardware problem. I know this seems basic, but when you
move, do you see your updated current
When you are trying to record your track, what colour is the "GPX" button (top
right of the map)?

Dear Paul
Thanks for your answer.
The same steps are on my phone, but (see screenshot) I can start a new
track (recording change to stopp) and nothing happens; Time are always
0:00:00 / Distance are 0 m.
When I tip STOPP, are no new track in the folder Rec (only three old ones).
Any idea?
See if this helps
On my phone, to find and view tracks:-
Hit Menu (Bottom left of screen, 3 horizontal bars)
"My places" (its the 3rd option from the top on mine)
"Tracks".
"Rec".
All my recent tracks are listed there in date order.
