I create my own maps for overlading and off roading in Quebec, Canada. I
do not use openstreetmap data because most of the logging roads are not
there (there is almost 400 000 kilometers of such roads in Quebec).
Instead I use open data published by the governement.
When I
I prefer using the Android app "GPS Logger" which drains less battery.
Furthermore you can store waypoints with a meaningful name at any time.
You can edit these tracks with the app "GPS Track Editor" and view them
with the app "GPX Viewer".
You can then copy these GPX files into the OSMAND folder
