If you can install an additional (external) SD card, OSMAnd can put its
offline maps there.

Hi Dmitriy, Xavier, and others who have written encouraging information
above.
Thank you for your feedback and information.
My observation (and doubtless those of others) was submitted to show
support for the good work done by Developers, and enthusiastic anticipation
ot each improvement.

Can you check that OsmAnd has write access? This is usually the culprit for
some phones. Check OsmAnd permissions, on some systems it has to be set
manually, the app won't ask for it.

Unfortunately the app doesn't give me any of the stretches I put back and
also the duration always stays at zero. All other settings I have already
checked several times and I see no reason why this should not work. That's
why I joined this group and hope for a solution.
I would be pleased
If you're seeing your current location, then you're right, it doesn't seem like
a hardware problem. To answer your question, if you start recording a GPX, you
should see your distance traveled next to the red indicator on the GPX button.
And if you're set up on My places > tracks > Currently
I created a track with waypoints on MyRouteApp.com and saved it to the
tracks directory of OsmAnd.
I choosed the track for navigating with the option 'Calculate route between
Points'.
At first the navigating was fine. After approximately one hour OsmAnd was
starting to act strange when it
Hello! We are currently working on Turn Screen On option, our first thought
was to implement in the standalone plugin to use "Device admin" permission,
but recently we investigate that we could implement it without "Device
admin".
I think we add it to the 3.4 release soon.

That one makes me choose between offline or 'only car', and I want to use a
bike... so I'll guess I have to download after all. Don't know if my phone
is up to that...

Okay thanks. That's surprising - I thought the most updated map would be
the one online! I wonder if my phone can hold all those map data, my space
is limited, but I'll try.

I like the new settings 'Application profiles' very much. In this section I
can not only choose, add or delete a profile but I can also change the
settings of this profile.
This seems very logical to me.
Could this be the first step to a more logical settings approach (it is
very complex
Dear Bart
Yes, when I used OsmAnd or Google Maps and if i move (on foot / by car / by
train) then the map position always moves with the current position. So it
doesn't indicate a hardware problem to me. What should I read if I started
gpx?

Erik, yes, you _can_ use the online map features for routing. However,
first please understand that the online map services are separate
organizations from OsmAnd, and
When you press the GPX button and it turns red, the button should also indicate
the distance traveled. If it continues to say "GPX", then indeed, no GPX is
being recorded.
This sounds like a hardware problem. I know this seems basic, but when you
move, do you see your updated current
BTW, I really suggest the osmand offline service, just try both and decide on
your own
