I looked at it and believe this is a gpx route with only turn points. You
want a gpx track. Consider using ridewithgps.com and export gpx track to
osmand.

when you select the download. There are many functions of Osmand to
understand. It takes time, but it's worth the effort. For orientation to
direction of movement, just tap on the compass arrow on the middle left of
the display.
