i have test this with android 10
if we have a brand new device, or hard reset the exist device, or we must
reinstall the osmand after clean install, etc and we must use the folder of
a working install, to save time from
i have a No2 solution, for people that have copy the whole folder of osmand
app into a new phone

you have your old data folder. is it the same ?

for people just like you, with low experience to computers, yes android is
linux, i suggest the following
- open osmand app and visit settings
- on the end you will find the option export
- in the next screen find the map data and choose at your device a place to
save them that you
Install Totalcommander on both devices.
Then copy the folder /Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files
from one device to the other device using copy by WLAN. Totalcommander can
even establish a WLAN hotspot which is also the fastest way to the files
copied.
