And once you're ready to navigate, before you hit Go, just be sure you've
selected the same icon, car/bicycle/pedestrian.

Osmand+ 2.9.3. I've selected 'Day Mode' in map configuration. Did my
first night navigation tonight - all of the following occurred well after
the sun went down. When I opened the app, map was in day mode. I touched
the right angle icon and entered From-To setup - still in day mode.
Completed From-To setup and hit 'Go' icon - display switched to night mode
and navigation started. Ran my route and hit the 'X' to end navigation -
display switched to day mode, my selected default. How do I get display
 to
follow my default and _not_ switch to night mode when navigating?

Harry;

Your suggestion sounds likely but when I go to Settings-Navigation-Car I
don't see any parameter that is equivalent to Configure Map-Map Mode.
Anywhere else I should be looking?

Re: Day mode selected, night mode is used in navigation

2018-03-02 Thread Harry van der Wolf
You have 4 map symbols: viewing mode, navigate by car, navigate by bike,
navigate as pedestrian.
All have their own set of settings.
you probably changed the view mode day/night setting.
however, when you start to navigate it switches to one of the navigate
modes, car in this case presumably.
So tap the car symbol in the map and set your day/night mode, or do it via
settings-.navigation, and select car.
