You're quite right. The httpd daemon should not crash as a result - but in any case, it could give rather strange results. In the cases i've seen and tested, IE would return a DNS error - which if course had nothing to do with it. But anyway, I suggest you bump up the error logging on Apache

Hallo Stefan, Okay, Konsole: su otrs -- sollte ja ein passwd abgefragt werden, das Komando wird aber einfach nur geschluckt. Woran kann das liegen? Muss ich den Benutzer irgendwie bearbeiten? sollte mit ... #su - otrs funktionieren. Hast einfach nur den Bindestrich vergessen. Gruß Timo

Hallo Stefan, Mit su - otrs wechselst Du von root aus -ohne Passworteingabe- zum User otrs. Überprüfen kannst Du dies mit id. Funktioniert der Wechsel nicht so hat der User otrs wohl keine Login-Shell - zu überprüfen durch cat /etc/passwd - die letzte Spalte ist /bin/false falls keine Shell
