I've just installed via cvs and it is now workingalittle hard to increment
my counters at the moment as they are connected to water flow meters...however
the values look OK. I'll get some water flow happening tomorrow night and test
to see the counters increment, however I assume if I
Hello!
Glad to see you've got it working finally. And of course an apology for that
one. That was me in one of my more annoying moments, following the amusing
post that Paul made.

What kind of router is it? The USB adapter have changed to use flexible
speed, and that could effect you if you have an Asus router.
On the other hand, you can always change the setting with:
# echo 0 > /tmp/1wire/bus.0/system/adapter/overdrive.0 (Regular speed which
was used before)
# echo

I found the same problem and solution on a fairly vanilla x86 machine.

Hello!
Working my way through a new project has created a new problem. The
data sheet for the DS2423 mentions that its external input lines
respond to certain types of mechanical or magnetic switching devices.
But does this preclude the use of solid state devices? I was thinking
of the SSR (Solid S

They don't stay that wa
Gregg,
There shouldn't be any problem with this. As long as the SSR can provide
a pulse that goes from +5v to 0v it should work fine our Lightning
Detector counts pulses from an opto-isolator.

I thought the counter was used with the "tipping bucket" type of rain detector
that measures rain fall for all weather station applications. I use it
connected to a flow meter that provides 4000 pulses per litre. The flow meter
has an LED with photo detector and I power the LED from the 1wire
