hi tanya, yes, most people with V-U reflux grow out of it in late childhood or puberty due to growth of the bladder base. this somehow strengthens the vesico ureteric sphincter so that when the bladder contracts, urine only flows down in to the urethra, not back up in to the ureters. when shes old
