Pete, that must have felt so awful for you as a new father - it must have really hurt to feel so powerless and not be able to be the protector -I do think mothers go into a protective/ passive state in the early days -the total focus is on the baby and any energy dealing with conflict feels

Hi friends and colleagues Seems to me that there is no bridging of the gap here. Would be really good if you could all sit down around a table and just talk. The autocratic, bureaucratic approach doesn't really do anyone any good. Women, their chosen others and midwives can do this together.
