First of all we do not support Ubuntu 14.04 so this was the right move
to install it on 12.04, moreover for continued support we'll advise you
to move either to CentOS 6 or Debian 7.
This is bad news if the server is configured for regular updates and reboots

I have not successfully got our new PF v 5.7 server up and running and working

Thanks! I didn't actually know about the eapol_test utility. I'll get
that and see what I get. Oddly enough, when searching the PacketFence
archives, none of my searches popped up a reference to that tool. Oh well,
at least now I have something more definitive to search for. =)
