Why bigger year is not chosen for start, for example- 1950, 1970...?
Funny you should mention 1970. There are several different date formats that the
PalmOS uses in various places. One of them does indeed start at 1/1/1970 (this
is a Unix thing, IIRC, unlike 1/1/1904 which was a Mac thing).
Yes, for birthdays it make sence..., and if I think about this the year 2031 is
not so soon as it seems:)

birthdays prior to that epoch date than there are now.
