This is what comparative view is for.
Pick one or two properties of any filter (or two) in the pipeline,
specify the x and y dimensions and it will do it for you.

Lester,
There was a problem with the binaries we released day before
yesterday. Thanks to the active community we were able to identify the
issues and should have the new binaries enabled on the website within
a few hours.
Your understanding of CSV support is correct. You should be able to

Hom Nath,
Thanks for reporting this issue. We are aware it and will have fixed
versions of the binaries available for download shortly. I'll post a
fresh announcement once the new binaries go live.
Thanks for your patience,

If I connect with startup type: manual after starting pvserver on
the remote machine, everything is working fine. If I connect with
startup type: command and put pvserver as the command, it says

Hi Luc,
I apologize for the dll error and I am tracking it down now. Thank you
Some other processes is already listening on the port (default 1
for pvserver), hence you are getting the error.

Hi,
Comparative view has two modes- filmstrip and comparative. In filmstrip
mode, only one variable changes and the views are ordered from left to
right, top to bottom. In comparative mode, you can specify an X dimension
and a Y dimension and can have one variable change along X and another

Hi Utkarsh
Downloaded the new windows version and it seems to work ok; haven't tested it
fully yet on the CSV option.
The table to points filter works without issue - generating points and
assigning attributes from the variable(s). The table to structured grid however
fails with three copies
Correct, comparative view is only useful for viewing changes in filter
properties or time.
It may be possible to cheat to get comparative view to do some of what you
want, but is definitely not an ideal solution...
Instead of 1 dataset with 8 variables, save your dataset 8 times, each with

For a real solution I'd want to script it in python... the problem is that
you cannot easily specify the view layout in the gui from the python
interface. Everything else can be done (creating views, camera links,
colormaps). If you're interested, it might not be too hard to extend the

Hi,
I have tried Table to Points with the file of Lester. So far very nice, but is
it posible to get distinct radii of this points. Normally I have a list with
x,y,z, radius and some properties. In which way can I display the different
radius of my particles?
Many thanks
Apply glyph filter, vary sphere glyph radius by scalar.
Or, use the CSCS point sprites plugin, if that is available on your machine.

Thanks David, it works fine. But if I use about 20.000 Particles there is one
problem with
PainterPolyDataMapper. It rescale always the image and the tool dont work fast.
Is there any trick to supress it or to improve the speed?
Many Thanks
