Hi Mimi
No, it was not the CD's... I've got very old equipment cuz I can't afford
anything else right now. Apparently it was something called underr un or
underburn or something, which meant the buffer to the CD write thingy got
empty before more info was grabbed from the hard drive. I don't know
I forgot to mention that my friend who was helping me learn to use Nero
later reported having seen a message about under run when we burned at
2x speed. I
later
tried to do the same thing at 1x speed. The two CD's were identical in the
gobbledy-goop for the last track burned.
I take it that under
Yes. Download the Nero Lame encoder from Ahead, install and register it, and you'll
have ogg support.

Hi, it would appear they have not updated the entry screen on the demo. It
is a print screen initially. When it comes up, there are three choices:
register, purchase and demo if I remember right. I managed the demo by
routing the mouse to the cursor once the program opened and using the shift
Oh, duh, I founded it right under general preferences.
Thanks.

Hi, Shawn, that should be in the setup portion of the tree-view, but
because it defaults to lan during the installation, I do believe, I
never worried about it.

Hi David.
I suffered with this problem for a number of months. Have you tried working
your way through the Nero help tool? I found this very useful as it will
run through a checklist of areas that may affect successful burning.
Anyway, the answer for me was to set my CD-rewriter to be DMA
I have a problem with some shoutcast streams.-- They play for a
minute or so, then stop, and restart after another minute. This repeats
constantly.-- Reinstalling winamp and increasing the buffering didn't help.

Hi Maureen.
This thread is currently only discussing buffer underruns using Nero to burn
CD's rather than buffer underruns when streaming audio which is a completely
separate topic in itself.

I recorded a song from tape to my pc using goldwave 5. I then used noise
reduction then raised the pitch 4 semitones. I did not change any other
settings in the pitch dialog. Now the voices sound like the chipmunks. Is
there something I can change to get all the music along with the voices to
You know, I never thought of that. How do you do that, Kevin? Maybe this
will cut down on a lot of dead CD's.

You need to set the FFT to 12, default, at least in
4.26 that I have, is 6, and set the overlap for 95,
that should help. That's if you want to preserve
length.

Hi,
I know this has been discussed before, but can we get unsecured pdf

Hi Kevin
I have not examined the help tool yet, didn't know that could help. I have
been playing around with nero for just the past week or two. As I posted
earlier, I could burn a CD with eleven fine tracks, but the twelvth went
crazy when I played it on my CD player. Kinda comical.
Thanks for

I don't recall if it was mp3 merge, I did not pay close attention. I forgot
to mention that the files are not mp3 files. Does mp3 merge splice together
other types of audio files as well?
Thanks

Thanks Ron. I was able to get Replay Radio started, using your mouse
movement tips.
Now I have another problem.
I am unable to set up a recording source. I run the test and am told no
sources were found and I should update my drivers. I read the faq but it
doesn't seem to address this
HiAll,
Thanks for the program suggested thusfar. I've tried rawavrecorder as
suggested. It opened the realmedia file just fine but gave no save as
feature to save it as an mp3 file. Does anyone know of a program I can
use to open a realmedia file and save it as an mp3 file? A free or
Well with this proggie by default it saves as a pcm wav file in the default
folder where you have the Real Audio Wav Recorder extracted to. Try looking
in the options menu as well for other facilities of this program.
