I heard music on a Braille Plus Icon that I looked at, and it was in
sterrreo. I don't know if this information helps, but I believe the Braille
Plus is a notetaker, as well.

it is a matter of preference, sometimes in certain situations you want a
stand alone machine. if your computer is down, you won't copy anything. your
computer might be tied up and you don't have the computer resources to do
any copying at the time. you are also talking portability. if you get
Yes, quite agree. The sensitivity of the internal mic is very good too and
one could quite easily record a small round table meeting using it.
If anyone has used an external mic with the Stream I'd like to hear about it
as folks here on the UK Stream list have said they find it hard to find a
I think if you plugged in some good headphones, and played the recordings,
you'd be surprised, or, exported it to a *.wav file using the stream
companion software, you'd be surprised somewhat. Quality isn't the need

Hi
I wonder if anyone else who uses the scripts can help.
I've tried the scripts on Audition 1.5 with Jaws 7, and Jaws 9, and they work
pretty well in multitrack view. But I always find in whichever machine I'm on,
that the scripts make navigation difficult by dialog boxes in the Edit View,
Hi
Unless anyone else knows differently Adobe Audition only works as far as
version 1.5 with scripts. The later versions had an interface change.
Perhaps if someone is using the latest version 3 they could let us know how
well it works.

Thanks for all the info about the Victor Stream. I was hoping it would at
least be able to record at 128k mp3 or wma. Stereo is a good way to get
clues about your environment that mono can't do. I realize the Stream is
not intended for this purpose. I just wish it was. I don't like
Hi the one I have seen has a master slot at the top and 7 copying slots
under the master.

Wow,

One of the advantages of the Stream, as it records at a low rate, is that
recordings take up less space. It's designed as a voice recorder, not
something to record a symphony concert with.
And that's for the better, in my estimation, as it discourages
bootlegging.
The VR Stream is a mp3
Yes, you can download some jaws scripts from

I don't know how good they are as I do not use Jaws. Hope this helps.

something that will work on the Zinstone when it isn't connected to the

I am trying Cathy now. Jaws had a little trouble seeing the tabs. You need
to find the catalogue tab first but the program starts in the search tab. I

tabs.

Hi
I love doubletalk on the book port. I can't stand reading text files with
the stream; the voice just seems way too slow! I like it faster, which
doubletalk does a great job at. Also, I checked out my info on a 2 gb sd
card. 300 hours of available recording time (that's right, 300)! Actually
no their is nothing at the moment.

Ok, let's clear this up once and for all. If you aren't using the
