Well, there are many buttons on the sony itself, designated to perform
definite, and in my case frequently used, functions.
The actual menus of the sony isn't very accessible, unless you have a good
memory.
But even so, the Sony is worth every cent.

load large amounts of files, but once that's done things work quite quickly
and normally.
I can't answer the formatting question, since all the cards I use worked

I grabbed a class 6 16GB card and received a No Media class 3 error.
I'm hoping the next firmware release will address this issue.

did get the formatting done, copied about 8.5 gigs of music over and am now
experimenting with playback, file organization and such.

I am almost sure it keeps time and date for some time if you've got to
change the batteries, although I've only had to do this once, some time ago.
Someone, correct me if I'm wrong.
I doubt whether the batteries will charged if the Sony is connected to the
pc though.
