Why do people doubt the ls14? Why is it kind of cool? Its equal or at
least very close to the ls100. Just cheaper. The micks are quiet and
can handle a lot of pressure. And you don't need spoken menus to be
able to to use the multi track stuff on the 100. Just assign the mute
and solo functions to
O, and the ls14 also go up to 96/24bit.

Okay question, regardless of the recorder you buy then why do you want two? I
mean a good quality recorder - whether it be a Zoom H1, a Sony, a Olympus or
whatever - should suffice?

Absolutely spot-on.
The Zoom H1 handles it but I very rarely use it, 44.1KHZ at 16 bit is good
enough for just about anything unless you're doing studio work.

For most situations there's little point, we're talking about 2 different
things here, you're talking about HD Movies - which incidentally are sampled at
192KHZ 24 bit and we're talking about hand held digital recorders which in most
cases don't even need to sample anywhere near as high as
Ah that's funny man. The dog thing. I have a rabbit. Well, perhaps your
right. I don't know, like I said, I thought I notised a difference when I
did it on a lap top. I guess I'll jusgt have to weight and see until I get
an LS-100 or ask Neal to sand me a sample of it doing this. 48 KHZ is a DVD
Maybe that's the thing. I maybe just being too much of a studio guy.

That's true too, but that's a lot of editing if it's a long file. I guess
just starting a new file might not be so bad.

Why yes it does. I just didn't bring it up until the other guy reminded me
of it because I wasn't sure if this guy wanted to go high end. It didn't
seem so.

Thanks for telling me. I guess I didn't really doubt it more than I just
wasn't sure how it compared to the LS-100. So, thanks for the Info. I just
wasn't sure of it. Why any any one else may doubt it, I know not.
