Okay I apologise to Barry as I myself gave out the wrong information and Barry
is actually right with regard to these speakers, I’ve had mine so long now I
can’t for the life of me remember what the model number is.
So again Apologies and I’ll dig up the right number and double-check my facts

No sorry that is not correct at all, the Z120 is self powered and self
contained and does not require a connection from the headphone jack, I’ll
repeat again I have 6 of these pairs of speakers given that they’re so useful.

the sound is via a lead from the computer's output jack. For those who would
prefer to have their music coming from the external speakers while having their
screen reader coming from the internal speaker or headphones
Yep, saves a whole heap of time.
Actually I’ve been defamiliarising myself with the My Cloud IOS App, been a
while since I’ve used that and its been updated and enhanced, you can play
music tracks and view photos from the App for example which is exactly the sort
of thing you might want to do s

Creating shortcuts is one way of doing things but its not an efficient way at
all, you’d be better off “Mapping” the shares as drives to find them in
Explorer - whether that be Windows or File Explorer depending on the Windows
version you’re using. -
Its a shame that you don’t setup things from
I use the setup software at:
http://download.wdc.com/nas/mc_windows_setup.exe
and once I setup my folders with permissions I put shortcuts to the folders on
my desktop, then you can copy the shortcuts to any computers on your network
and access your folders. I have a 4tb and 6tb wd drive that is

There are some graphics at the top of the page which take you to users and
shares on the drive but all the Settings Utilities and so on are displayed
towards the bottom of the page.

Yes I did actually. Contacted a B&W agent about 120 km from me. He told me
they do not stock them as there is not enough demand for them but that he can
get them for me.
They have one connected to the shop pc and he says he keeps being amazed by

Hi!
I’ve had quite a bit of private email wanting to know more about the Logitech
USB speakers I mentioned on list.
The model is Logitech Z120 Compact USB speakers and they cost around $25-30
Australian.

I’m sorry but I certainly don’t use Youtube as a bible when it comes to

Yes, they’re different given the fact that they’re not taking power from the
computer itself rather from a separate power supply as you say.
This of course has its advantages, the main and obvious one being that the
speakers can afford to have more power behind them.

Yeah I heard that on the youtube vid I shaired the link for. Or at least I
thought I did. But yeah the guy said that. But he said it strictly because of
the price. They are good for what they are but too pricie.
