Please can I ask, can someone explain what the differences are between
the speakers outlined in the subject line? Asking as I bought a new
radio today and the speakers are 2 times 2 watts RMS in terms of output.

watts per channel and given stereo then that's 2 watts times 2 channels giving

Right, well obviously then 2 times 2 watts is mor powerful than 2 times 1 watt.
