2 watt versus 1 watt speakers

Hello all. Please can I ask, can someone explain what the differences are between the speakers outlined in the subject line? Asking as I bought a new radio today and the speakers are 2 times 2 watts RMS in terms of output. There was also a radio with 2 times 1 watt RMS as its output. The radio

Well at a guess we're talking stereo? So therefore 2 times 2 watts means 2 watts per channel and given stereo then that's 2 watts times 2 channels giving a total of 4 watts. The big question here is how the measurement of 2 times 2 watts was made, given the low figure I suggest that the
