Hello list
I don't know whether this question is allowed on the list
but if not, Please forgive me. I try to record via the
line-in of my Archos Studio 20GB player. As long as sound is
coming in, it records but if there is just a moment of
silence then the recording stops and the file is closed
Go to volume ctrl, and set the play back volume to 100 percent

Hi all,
I'm kinda desperate at this point and hope someone on this list might be
able to help me out. I'd like to record all the audio and voice/mic on my
computer but having problem doing so. I am using an audigy 2 soundcard with
a plantronics 355 headset. I attach my headset and set windows
Hi Betsy, also, some sound cards have check boxes that allow you to mix
your inputs, just as you can in the playback properties. If this is the
case, you must check everything that you don't want recorded, such as the
wave out and the stereo mix, which some sound cards call what you hear!

Hello,
I recently installed GoldWave version 5.19 on a computer for the first time and
when I went to record, the only thing I got was what JFW was saying. I tried
changing input sources with no luck and am completely baffled! I am running XP

Hi guys,
Lately when I record using Fast Edit, I've got a problem recording. When
it reaches about 30 or so minutes on the hard-drive the recording starts
skipping. I shut off everything I can including dsl, norton, and window-eyes.
Window-eyes is used to get this editor recording for me.

Sounds good Dean. Thanks.
The reason the Run command won't work in TR I think is that the file which
you put in the Desktop does not have an extension.
It is simply title "Caroline" However it can be run from the Windows Explorer.

A few weeks ago, Peter Scanlon wrote asking how to record the stream of
Radio Caroline, since the particular high-quality stream he wanted to
record does not seem to lend itself to simply typing the Url into
TotalRecorder's Run dialog. I think I've figured out how to do it. The

Kevin,
Thanks, that did it! All I needed to do was uncheck the stereo mix checkbox

I believe you can choose under "settings" in re-play radio whether you want
the program to set the volume controls or not. If you uncheck this, the
volumes should remain where you had them set. Also, you may have to check
your settings to be sure the soundcard drivers and not replay-radio driv
These type of programs switch on the What You Hear option, which is what you
have on now. You can set this back to the line in if you go to the volume
controls program and go to recording properties.
Thanks a lot.
