well if you had the h140 with 40 gigs you may be lucky for that price.
in the netherlands we pay 400 euros for this aquipment, and as you know the
dolar is much cheaper than the euro.
do you have a manual in readable format for the h140?

The IHP-140 player is a hard drive player which is 40 Gb. The IHP-120
is the same one but it's 20 Gb instead. Bot have an fm-tuner, line-in,
line-out, usb 2.0 and both can record directly into wave or mp3 format.
Both play wave, mp3, wma, and ogg formats. Both are easy to use.
Marko, if
I looked at the pdf manual found on the Iriver web site and found it wasn't
to helpful. I'd also like to read a better manual so I can see if I can
actually work one of these.

Hello Bobcat. I don't understand what is not clear about the manual.
If you want some pointers on using this unit feel free to ask. It's
real easy to use really.

Hi Raul,
I'd like to know how to record with this unit. I have the h140
unit and have never been able to figure this one out. I listened to
Michael Lang'ds excellent Main Menu review of a similar unit, but still
cannot record my memo's. Michael said that he didn't care much for the

hi, i looked at the manual but while most of it seemed okay, the actual
descriptions of how to do certain things seemed confusing, i'm guessing they
use symbols instead of text for the buttons? for example i've not managed to
work out how the skip from folder to folder. i found the bit in the
Hi,
If you use the remote, on the right side there are two rocker type
switches. The top one goes from file to file within a folder, and the
bottom one goes from folder to folder, I think. Try it and you might find
that's correct.

Hi all, these two things may or may not be related, in that, I bought a
sony cd burner, and you're asking, what does a sony cd burner have to
do with total recorder, and I'll get to that. When the installer was
installing the cd burner, he said that it was boarder line, in terms of

Hi,
The only thing you have to check is the jumper for deciding weather it is
supposed to act as the master or the slave.
But setting the jumper wrong will just make the drive not visible to the
system, so then go ahead and try it in another posission. Normally slave is
in the middle and master
How accessible is this player? In particular, I'm wondering about
setting bit rate for recording. Once it's set, does it remember the
setting until it's changed?
Otherwise, how accessible is this unit?
How does it connect to a computer? Does it connect via USB?
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
I can't answer the recording part since I've not yet been able to
do it. But the machine just connects via usb 2.0 interface and the songs
can be copied directly from the pc to the unit via windows explorer. Hope
this helps some.

That was my problem with the manual. The use of symbols instead of words
for the buttons. If I knew which they represented, I could probably do a
search and replace.

Kevin, you wrote:
how on earth do you skip from one folder to another without having to

This is not possible by default, at least not with the player (don't
know about the remote).
To be able to skip from folder to folder, you have to set
