These type of programs switch on the What You Hear option, which is what you have on now. You can set this back to the line in if you go to the volume controls program and go to recording properties. Hi Tom, No, I found that you have to go to the language menu and there are several selections there. English, French, Director's Comments, and described audio for the visually impaired. You select that but I have a couple problems even with this. Most of the time it says described audio for the visually impaired. (unavailable) I have clicked on this and it still says unavailable. I'm not sure what you have to do for it to become available. I've tried waiting until the movie starts and then clicking on it but that doesn't work. Someone told me to press the letter H when the movie starts, and that didn't do anything either. Now the one time I finally was able to get to select the language and have the movie start with the video description it was playing beautifully and then shortly after it got into the movie the video description just stopped but the movie kept playing without description. I wonder if I need to open title 1 and select all 29 chapters so that when it starts it will describe it all. I guess it really doesn't matter whether I choose title 1 or title 2. It just seems to me that if each DVD is different they should give you some short instructions as to where to find the video description and how to incorporate it into the movie. This is not intuitive and, having never worked with DVD's before, I don't have a clu what I'm doing. It's certainly not like VCR, put the tape in and play. I believe you can choose under settings in re-play radio whether you want the program to set the volume controls or not. If you uncheck this, the volumes should remain where you had them set. Also, you may have to check your settings to be sure the soundcard drivers and not replay-radio drivers are being used when you open sound forge. This can be checked under the volume control, options, properties tab. The optional esc driver replay radio offers may also be a part of the problem if you installed it. Re: xm radio online very accessible!
It's a little more subtle than that, while broadcasters are assessed a fee against their subscription base, assessments are also made to support a native culture channel, the radio reading service channel, and other specialty channels for arts culture, and parliamentary broadcasting. It has a good deal to do with trying to preserve a Canadian character in home broadcasting in the face of the juggernaut to the south, which also sucks up nearly all of available revenue from commercials. We have nearly full time captioning, and have begun with 2 hours per week in prime time of DVS on some channels which will increase to 4 hours soon. Chris, I am becomeing interested in the Nuvo flash players because they also have a built in recorder. I don't know how much capassity you want, but 1 gig drives are available. Thanks to a lot of folks on here about info on portable mp3 players. The only problem I've been having is finding a good accessible one that is actually still available! I've heard about a lot of the archos and iriver models, but everyone I've heard about that is accessible has either been discontinued, or is only available used on a site like ebay yes I even looked there! So, what I'd like to know is if anyone can recommend a good, accessible mp3 player, doesn't matter the brand for about $200 to $250? I'd like to do voice recordings with it too, so I'd like for it to have a voice recorder. I've heard that some of the models beep while you're in the menus, so if I had a bit of sighted help with the menus I could, in theory, count the beeps and find my way around once I learned where everything is. All the models of the archos players that are supported by Rockbox that was mentioned here earlier don't seem to be available unless I'm not looking in the right places? So any help is greatly appreciated! I'd like to know the specific model number and if you found it on a website, how much was it and where did you find it? Rewriteable CDs
A couple of weeks ago, I bought some rewriteable CDs to use to record my piano lessons. The first time I took one, it didn't seem to work. My teacher thought maybe he was doing something wrong with his equipment, which was new and he doesn't know all about it. But, this week, I took the whole case to see if maybe it was a bad CD. Re: Ok, Stupid Got Her DVD to Play!
Hi Tom, Success!! Ok, I got the movie to play with the audio description and I really enjoyed it. There are what appears to be two versions of the movie on the CD. I don't know if one is the one they released for the theaters and the other one maybe has some sceenes either added or cut or what. I selected Title 1 last night, but I'm going to try Title 2 and see what the differences are, if any. For those who might encounter this here is what I did. Placed the DVD in drive and opened PowerDVD. Waited for it to load. When the music started playing I pressed space so I could hear the menus better. I went down to go to in the contect menu. Right arrowed and went down to title 1. Right arrowed again to chapter 1 and moved up to browse. I then selected cTitle 1, Chapter 1 and tabbed to go to. Then I went down to languages, right arrowed and went down to where it said audio description for blind users. Before it had been saying this was unavailable, but now that I had a title selected it allowed me to choose this. I then closed the context menus and pressed enter and the description started immediately. I'm sure each DVD is going to take some experimentation of this type to get it to play. However, I'm glad I finally figured it out and thanks to all who gave me tips on DVD and things to try. Kris H. There most certainly is a difference in rewriteable cd's. just like with the cdr's, there are music and data discs respectively. use those discs you bought on your computer for mp3 files and other stuff. you could burn a music cd on the computer too with roxio or Nero. data discs won't burn in a consumer stand alone cd recorder. -- Cynthia Handel [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: A couple of weeks ago, I bought some rewriteable CDs to use to record my piano lessons.
