Also, I want a service that allows me to play whatever kind of music or show that I want. I found a service called Churchquest that offers a windows media streaming service at $8.95 monthly, but it is a Christian service that does not allow secular music and has no phone support. My Shoutcast server host is great, but I want to offer my listeners a Windows Media Stream as well. Note: this service can be in the U. Houdy, I'm not really sure about what's legal an/or not but my thought is that if you're not selling it for a profit you can share it. It's kind of like the cassette tapes thing from back in the days. Ever make a really good cassette tape and pass it amongst your friends? That practice had been going on for years before there was ever such a thing as nabster. and I've never, not once, been caught by the copy Police, have you? I've never downloaded music for profit. I enjoy listening to and collecting it. If I decide I like it enough to go out and buy it then so be it. And if folks put their music out there for you ta sample and groove with then I say, party on! We need to explain the need for accessibility to the developers. Another set is from www.collectorz.com and does the same thing except it's a bit more accessible if you're willing to deal with mouse equivolents. Mediacast1 is a hosting site for streams. - Original Message - From: JardataMailServicesBox [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Sunday, November 26, 2006 12:48 PM Subject: Locating and securing a Windows Media Server or service host Hello List! Recently, I listened to an internet radio station out of Georgia called Shallohsplace located at http://shallohsplace.net, with a direct streaming url of http://cobra.mediacast1.com/shallohsplace. My question is what is this cobra.mediacast1.com. It appears to be some kind of player on the web site or it may be hosted by someone. The reason I ask is that I am looking for a windows media server hosting site or a windows media encoder. I like the way this one sounds. It doesn't look like a hosted site, rather a dsl company's program. If anyone knows of a lost-cost windows media server hosting site, which is as easy to use as Ultrahost's Shoutcast server, do let me know, as I want to also run a windows media stream on my station. Well I do think one needs to learn how to use it. You can push any Koddex to far. I usually set my to default level to about 96 which takes care of about every bitrates. Jaws 8 and sound cards, just when I thought I had it all figured out . . .
Hi, gang! Well, tonight I downloaded Jaws 8.0. I want to have it on a separate sound card, so I copied what I'd done with Jaws before that exactly into that jfw.ini file. But when I re-booted, and then turned off the computer to try again, Jaws is still on the sound card I don't want it on. Here's what I copeied from an earlier Jaws to my Jaws 8.0. What am I doning wrong? [Synthesizers] Synth1Name=eloq Synth1LongName=Eloquence Software Synth1Driver=eloq Synth1Port=SoundMAX Digital This is what I want Jaws to do: play with this SoundMax digital soundcard. But it keeps playing through this Usb sound card i have, and I don't want it to go there! Anyh help? Thanks! Re: Mac Screenreaders
Hi, You're right, the machines are rather old. I got them from my school to mess with. There's no way OSX would run on them. I'll look around for a used version of outspoken. I can't find mininum specs on it any more even. I probably wouldn't use the machines for much, just basically for messing around with the mac OS. I'm running XP and JFW 7, soon to be 8 as my main PC. I don't really like MAC, but if I can get something free, I take it. L8R Brandon Judy W wrote: Older macs will work with a program called outspoken You might be able to find a used version.
