Lynn! I would expect your TV Tuner Card to work fine with your cable
service. A TV Tuner Card is pretty much a TV without speakers or picture
tube.

What about those software packages that are supposed to allow you to watch
satelite TV on your computer? Are any of those accessible with Jaws?

Without your telling us what station you are talking about, attempting to
answer your question isn't possible.
Not all Clear Channel stations stream; nor have all stations switched.
So, tell us which station you are having problems with; and we can attempt
to solve this for you.

Most clear chanel stations on your site unfortunately no longer work. I've
had to go to streamingradioguide.com for listen. Aparently, there not using
windows media player or they are using a special version of it.

For any one individual to maintain a database of thousands of radio
station streams is nearly an impossible task as links are continually
changing.
I am sure Bill is doing the best he can given that this isn't his daytime
job -- so to speak.
I would never rely solely on any one database. At
I did contact him and he fixed some of them and is trying to do the rest. If
I had a collection like that I'd never be able to keep up with the changes.

You say most people who buy these satellite TV reception programs regret
their purchase. Why? Is it because these programs wre unnecessary in spite
of working well? or is it because they create a backdoor for malware,
spyware, and viruses to destroy a system?

I have a feeling that this discussion may, unintentionally, be discussing
2 different types of software.
My comments refer to those programs that deliver upwards of 1,000 tv
channels to your pc for a 1 time fee.
The problem is that while they might include 1,000+ links, most are for

The CC link worked as it should. So there is no confusion, here is the
link for wzzr in its entirety:
www.wzzr.com/cc-common/streaming_new/index.html?refreshed=yes
And, both
http://streamingradioguide.com
and
www.radiotime.com
have a working link for WZZR.

Hi Mike,

I entered the link at the run dialogue.
This isn't a WMP link; hence, that's why wmp balked for you. And it
balked for me when I now tried it.
So, run it from the dialogue, from within your web browser, or enter it as
a favorite in your bookmarks.
That way, it will launch and play.

I heard from some people, who were very fascinated by Apple's new
speech synth called Alex. There was a little demo of it on the net,
but it seems to have disappeared. Does anybody here know a place,
where one can hear it?

Hi All,
I recently tried playing with Windows Vista and thought of asking some audio
related questions as I am still in the midst of exploring. I got to say
that, if vista matures a little further as time progresses, its worthwhile
the upgrade just for the audio part. 1 very big bonus is that we
Hi Listers,
As he subjects says, how could 1 do a backup of drm licences to a file or

Has anyone else experienced serious sluggishness when starting up

WZZR is licensed to Riviera Beach which is part of the West Palm Beach
radio market.
Cities of license these days don't tell us much as the nature of radio
audiences has changed given the fact of networks, multiple stations
simulcasting, and, of course, streaming.
Incidentally, before this
