I'd recommend giving windows media player a look. It's library is completely accessible with no scripting required. Very powerful and easy to use once you've spent a little time playing with it. It won't get broken in a couple of days time either with yet another software release that

High Jim, That connecter you have, is called an XLR connecter. The problem may be the cable itself. You can get replacement XLR cables at RadioShack or any full line music store. If changing out the cable doesn't get red of the noise, then try a different mike. My best regards. John. -

Ok, I got rid of the hum by changing the settings on the mixer, but now I still have a little bit of a sound like the hard drive is causing some little noise, but again if I unplug the computer it goes away. This only happens when the mike is being used on the mixer and hmm it has a different type
