have the i so file created and now a question about that
Hi okay I have mad eht a I so file and tried burning it to an audio cd using the rewriteable cd so as to not waste a cd recorderable. So I put it in my cd player that can play cd rw's and again the tracks were there and no audio. But when I burned the cd to an audio cd I told it to use my cd burner as the recorder and not the image recorder. Should I have used the image recorder to burn the cd as an audio cd instead of my actual cd recorder? Also as a side note I have noticed that on this list that people have been thinking that since my name is Casey. That I am a female and that is incorrect. Just to let you know I am a male just to let you all know who I am. So thanks again for all the help and if I have done everything correctly then maybe I will have to punt this project and try and get the file from another place. Re: simplified broadcast softwear for streaming
If you think SAM Broadcaster is simple, I'd hate to see what you think is complicated! For simplicity, it doesn't get any simpler than two instances of Winamp and the Shoutcast plug-in that comes with it. The first instance of wWinamp controls the music, the second controls the broadcast. If you can use Winamp, you can broadcast. Re: dasy software packages?
All of this discussion prompts the following question from me: What does full-featured mean to you? TO me, it means everything--page numbering, ability to either include or separate footnotes from being read within main text, section headings of course (like articles, chapters, major printed section breaks, etc.) ... simply putting mp3's in a folder and running something to convert the indexing structure doesn't seem full-featured by half. I suspect, I don't really know but just suspect, that the full features one would want have to be provided by the content provider more than the software provider. In other words, somebody somewhere has to know where the marks go. Without them, the whole thing is ueless. Do I care more about pages than I do about cassette sides? You bet I do. But is that marking level available? Certainly not. So then, where's it to come from? Answer: Unknown. But without a valid answer to these questions, there's no such thing as full-featured, imho. If you're willing to read its pretty straightforward manual, some, though not all, of what you want to do you can do free with the Daisy Book Generator, available from http://jaapvanlelieveld.xs4all.nl/daisy.htm Basically, you put mp3 files into a folder, run this free program from the context menu for the folder, and it converts the folder contents into a Daisy book which you can then load onto your player. I have been turning podcasts and mp3 audio files into Daisy books with this for my player with great success. There is a list, on Freelists I think, the PtR1 users list for this equipment. (Don't be put off by the name; it was started back in the days of the PTR1, but most discussion there is/is around the PTR2 successor. well i need some help on an issue that I have discovered with nero and making cd's
Hi okay remember I was having one heck of a time trying to create that I so file and then finally got it made and tried to burn it. but yet had all kinds of problems with that part of it also. Well hear is a strange one. I tried to make an audio of songs off of my hard drive from a cd that I had ripped to the hard drive like from two days ago. Well okay so I went in to Nero seven and told it to make an audio cd like I have done time and time again. So then after I selected all of the tracks that I wanted to have in my disc. OI went on to the finally burn settings. there I selected what I wanted and told it to burn. Now it burned the disc and then I took the disc out when it was finished and put it in one of my cd players that works perfectly. And again all of the tracks were there but no audio. But now if I copy a cd it works fine. So is something checked that is a digital mode somewhere or what could be causing this? I am using cd recordables and those are working also. If I make a copy of a disc then the recorded works fine and plays fine also. I only get all of the tracks and no audio on them when I create a cd and try to burn that on to a cd recordable. No I don't have my image recorder checked in Nero either. So then is something muted that shouldn't be cause this only seems to happen when I would like to take mp3 audio files that are on my c drive and burn them to an audio cd and nothing else. My suggestions on what to look in to/ I am running a windows xp home addition machine and window eyes 7.01 and a sound blaster live sound card. If that help any. all assistance is welcome. making my last message a bit clearer if I can
Hi what I was trying to say was. If I have a cd ripped to my hard drive for example and it is in mp3 format. and I go in to nero and make an audio cd the tracks are all there and I have no audio from them. but if I copy a disc to disc. like if one of you fellow listers would send me a cd of lets say of the rock group cheap trick and would say to me feel free to make a copy of this for yourself. I can make a copy of that disk and I will have a perfect audio copy with all of the tracks and the audio on them. This is only when I take tracks off of my hard drive that are mp3 files and want to put them on a cd recordable for playing in other cd players. Do I get discs with all the tracks and no audio. So what can I do if anything to change this? Strange that I can copy discs and just not create them fromsongs that I have on my hard drive and burn them on to a cd recordable and like play that cd in my home stereo. That is kind of hard when I have tracks and nothing on them.
