hi dane: I was one of the people who are interested. I do have the radio and still haven't figured it all out thanks for any info and tricks from your experience with the radio. howard wolcott -- From: Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net Sent: Friday, October 17, 2014 9:41 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Subject: Tecsun PL660 Radio Hi! Dain, it's true. I’m using the latest OS X from Apple for my Mac and the FaceTime App, up until now FaceTime was used to make extremely high quality audio and video calls where band width allowed. This functionality still exists in the FaceTime App and new features have been added, for this sample I had FaceTime use my Apple iPhone 6 as the connection point if you like - FaceTime had my iPhone dial the number and the audio from both microphone and speaker came from the Plantrics Audio 478 headset connected to the Computer. - Yes, this is only Voicemail I know and not top notch audio but quality is surprisingly good I thought. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10565527/Sample.wav https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10565527/Sample.wav

Re: Inexpensive Microphone for chatting
Logitech have a good desktop microphone, I paid around $40 for mine 6 years ago and its still working. Now if you’re chatting with one of these say on Skype then you should pay attention to the other party you’re talking to, that is to say that hands free can cause some problems particularly if both party’s are using hands free systems, unfortunately hands free systems - most anyway - are still note entirely full proof so a headset as a backup certainly won’t go a stray. ** Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane On 19 Oct 2014, at 8:24 am, Dan Kerstetter dh...@comcast.net wrote: Hello all.

Looking at the specs now, the Mac Mini is cheaper than ever though the CPU’s used in the 2 base models aren’t as powerful as the 2012 Mac Mini I have or the top of the line Mac Mini Machine but all the same, they’re an excellent computer to work with if you want to do audio production, use it as a media hub and so on, just found an article on how to turn a Mac into a fully functional Blu-Ray player and that’s handy to know since it probably would have even more power and flexibility than does my current Blu-Ray playing solution, the Sony Play Station III. ** Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane On 19 Oct 2014, at 11:57 am, Hamit Campos hamitcam...@gmail.com wrote: Oh yeah dude.
