Hi Cherry.
I use Goldwave myself but recently people have been discussing a free
download program called MP3 Direct Cut. You can download it from the
following site. Good luck.

Hi Gary -
Often wonder what .og files were - does this mean I could save loads of
space by having .og instead of MP3 files? and if so, how do I create them?

Yes, I was wondering that, I had heard somewhere about new compression that
halves the file size, but keeps the original MP3 quality - think it might
have been in connection with WM files. Maybe somebody knows more?

Hi all -
I can use Winamp and Windows Media Player 9 to burn MP3s in to .cda audio
CDs, but I'd also like to burn a bunch of MP3s as data files, on to a CD, to
play them in my PTR1. Are there any free programmes to do this?

Winamp should play the book but you may need a plugin for mp4. I don't
know
if the new winamp
, if that makes a difference. Would really appreciate any
more help you can give, I'm away for a week soon, and want to take some
music and books with me.

And on this topic? Does the latest version of Winamp [I've got 5.2, so I
mean 5.3] allow for burning CDs, or is that only the bought version?

Pinaccle DVD/CD creation software on this system, but can't get it to burn
for some reason, it just sits there, so was wondering if XP would do the
job?

Sometimes it also helps if you use
Is WinDVD just a player, or can it burn DVDs as well? Where did you get it
from?
