RE: recording with cdex.

Can one record say talking books or the like, to put on a book courier or
drive to use with a notetaker instead of carting around the cassettes, just
curious as to how you would set that up in cdex. Thanks.

2007-08-17 Thread Tim Emmons
So you would record at normal speed as opposed to having to do all the stuff
you do with goldwave in fliping tracks, slowing the speed down etc. I just
want a straightforward way of doing it, thanks.

You would record directly to mp3 or wave and then edit out the pauses or
what ever you don't want to here such as the lead time at the beginning and
end of any tape.

RE: Patch for Winamp 5.34

2007-05-07 Thread Tim Emmons
If it's giving you hat chirp, do an alt with the letter N and the
information bar will open presenting you with a button to allow or
temporarily allow popups from that sight, or give you iptions for
downloading the winamp patch. Try that and see if it helps. Thanks.

Yeah, I tried that and it doesn't seem to open up; I have sp2 and it is
giving one of those chirps, when I try entering on that link! I may have to
have my sighted guru look at what is happening!

Thanks for trying to help, Steve!

To download the patch once you are at the link I have mentioned
previously you need to activate a link called download Now to
download the patch. I'm not sure if the patch is necessary if you
don't listen to MP4 files but I always like to install security
patches for any programs installed on my computer.

Well, I have tried this link, a number of times and it never quite gets to

am stumped on this! Is this patch necessary, if one doesn't use MP4 files
on their computer?

Hi guys, was wondering does Xm have a radio like the sirius that you just
mentioned? I'm an xm subscriber and not Sirious as of yet. Speaking channels
and menus would be absolutely wonderful. Thanks and take care.

Hi just wondering since you have one of these units. Would you be willing
to do an audio review of it like on blind cool tech or some place like
 that.
So those of us that would like to see what all speaks and how it sounds
 and
what it all can do. So it can help those of us that might be interested
 in
the purchase of this unit and how difficult was it to get it to talk once
you got it home and set up so that you could then use the talking features
 on this unit?
