I figured out your problem. Somehow you're using the virtual drive
to burn your CDs. You need to go in and choose your burner. I
didn't remember this because version 6 defaults to the burner.

Hi, To answer your question the CD program doesn't work. The CD is
  blank.
I tried reinstalling it back in the computer last night and I still
  was
  not
  able to use the program.

The other question that I have is is there any way to get rid of the
graphics when you put Nero in whether it be 5.5 or 6.6? Now when I
  try
  to
burn a CD it wants me to save the image to my computer. Before when I
  was
using Nero 5.5 with my other computer which had Window's 98 on it
  there
  was
no graphics and it didn't say or ask you to save the image so you
  could
  burn
the CD. Now if I hit cancel when it asks me to save the image it
  still
  won't burn the CD.

When I tried using the Premiere CD Creator I saw some graphics on
  there
  as
well. I don't know if this feature can be removed or not. Any
  information
that you all may have about this would be appreciated. I don't want
  to
  buy
Nero 6.6 if I'm going to encounter the same problem.Thanks.

I'd agree with this, if there weren't easier ways to creat a CD. What
could be easier than Easy CD-Da Extractor? You select the file you want to
burn in windows Explorer, just about any format under the sun,
right-click, choose burn to CD with Easy CD-Da Extractor, repeat for all
the tracks you want to burn, no matter where they are or what the format,
go into the Easy CD-DA Extractor window, hit F8, grab a Coke, and grab the
CD when it's done. If the CD creation process were simpler with the
Premier product, I'd agree with the below at least to a degree.

You're mistaken. The program is not free, hasn't been free since at least
1999. Also, it needs to be remembered that JFWLITe is becomeing very

I wonder where that checkbox is? In nero 6.6 ultra, making an audio
cd, the only way I've found to illiminate the native 2.0 second pause
is to, select all the files, right click on one of them, arrow to
properties, press enter, then tab to the edit box where the pause is
specified and make it 0, then go to ok and press enter. That is,
making a bunch of mp3s into an audio cd, that is what I am refering

Hi, To answer your question the CD program doesn't work. The
CD
is
blank.
I tried reinstalling it back in the computer last night and I
 still
  was
not
able to use the program.

The other question that I have is is there any way to get rid of
the
graphics when you put Nero in whether it be 5.5 or 6.6? Now
when
 I
  try
to
burn a CD it wants me to save the image to my computer. Before
when
  I
was
using Nero 5.5 with my other computer which had Window's 98 on
it
  there
was
no graphics and it didn't say or ask you to save the image so
you
  could
burn
the CD. Now if I hit cancel when it asks me to save the image
it
  still
won't burn the CD.

When I tried using the Premiere CD Creator I saw some graphics
on
  there
as
well. I don't know if this feature can be removed or not. Any
information
that you all may have about this would be appreciated. I don't
want
  to
buy
Nero 6.6 if I'm going to encounter the same problem.Thanks.

Hi, To answer your question the CD program doesn't work. The
CD
is
blank.
I tried reinstalling it back in the computer last night and I
 still

The other question that I have is is there any way to get rid of

graphics when you put Nero in whether it be 5.5 or 6.6? Now
when
 I

burn a CD it wants me to save the image to my computer. Before

using Nero 5.5 with my other computer which had Window's 98 on

was
no graphics and it didn't say or ask you to save the image so
you
  could
burn
the CD. Now if I hit cancel when it asks me to save the image
it
  still
won't burn the CD.

When I tried using the Premiere CD Creator I saw some graphics
on

as
well. I don't know if this feature can be removed or not. Any
information
that you all may have about this would be appreciated. I don't

You're mistaken. The program is not free, hasn't been free since at least
1999. Also, it needs to be remembered that JFWLITe is becomeing very
quickly out of date becasue it hasn't been updated in months, possibly
over a year, unless *I'm* mistaken.

Brian suggested that less advanced users could benefit from
 Premier's
 CD
 creator.

I absolutely agree, and thank you for reminding me of that. I feel
 a
certain degree of shame for those times when I forget that there
 really is
 a
 solid market for straightforward simplicity.  You're right indeed;
 there
 are
hundreds of blind and low-vision folks who don't want all the
 arcane
techno-goop that can accompany more advanced CD creators, and
 certainly
 the
Premier program does, in fact, create a CD as advertised. I still
 use
 it
 on
those occasions when I'm in a real hurry, want to just burn
 something
mega-quick, and get on with other things. I hope my previous
 messages
didn't imply that the program is a failure; indeed, it is far from
 that.
 In
fact, for the market for which it was designed, I think it does
 really
 quite
well. Thanks again, Brian, for reminding me of things I really
 shouldn't
 have forgotten.

 Kindest Regards,

 Nolan

I wonder where that checkbox is? In nero 6.6 ultra, making an audio
cd, the only way I've found to illiminate the native 2.0 second pause
is to, select all the files, right click on one of them, arrow to
properties, press enter, then tab to the edit box where the pause is
specified and make it 0, then go to ok and press enter. That is,
making a bunch of mp3s into an audio cd, that is what I am refering too.

creator.

I absolutely agree, and thank you for reminding me of that. I feel a
certain degree of shame for those times when I forget that there really is a
solid market for straightforward simplicity. You're right indeed; there are
hundreds of blind and low-vision folks who don't want all the arcane
techno-goop that can accompany more advanced CD creators, and certainly the
Premier program does, in fact, create a CD as advertised. I still use it on
those occasions when I'm in a real hurry, want to just burn something
mega-quick, and get on with other things. I hope my previous messages
didn't imply that the program is a failure; indeed, it is far from that. In
fact, for the market for which it was designed, I think it does really quite
well. Thanks again, Brian, for reminding me of things I really shouldn't

RE: Premere CD Creator

2005-12-29 Thread Bruce Toews

Hi, To answer your question the CD program doesn't work. The CD is
blank.
I tried reinstalling it back in the computer last night and I still was
not
 able to use the program.

The other question that I have is is there any way to get rid of the
graphics when you put Nero in whether it be 5.5 or 6.6? Now when I try to
burn a CD it wants me to save the image to my computer. Before when I was
using Nero 5.5 with my other computer which had Window's 98 on it there
was
no graphics and it didn't say or ask you to save the image so you could
burn
the CD. Now if I hit cancel when it asks me to save the image it still
 won't burn the CD.

When I tried using the Premiere CD Creator I saw some graphics on there as
well. I don't know if this feature can be removed or not. Any information
that you all may have about this would be appreciated. I don't want to
buy
Nero 6.6 if I'm going to encounter the same problem.Thanks.

 Hi,
 Oh here it is.
Taken from the adverb about premieer
 - Multi Session Support. Version 2 now supports multiple sessions.
 - Three different write methods; (1) Track at once, (2) session at
once and (3) disk at once. Track at once will put a 1 - 2 second
 pause between songs.
Session at once will not put the pause between songs, but keep the
disk open for future addictions. Disk at once will not insert the
 pauses, but will finalize
 the CD.

Hope this clarified things a little bit?
 Best regards

Just a short. I use Nero and have found the checkbox to remove pauses and
everything and with Window-eyes find it very user friendly. Hope this helps
someone,

Chuck

Hi, To answer your question the CD program doesn't work. The CD is
 blank.
I tried reinstalling it back in the computer last night and I still was
 not
 able to use the program.

The other question that I have is is there any way to get rid of the
graphics when you put Nero in whether it be 5.5 or 6.6? Now when I try
 to
burn a CD it wants me to save the image to my computer. Before when I
 was
using Nero 5.5 with my other computer which had Window's 98 on it there
 was
no graphics and it didn't say or ask you to save the image so you could
 burn
the CD. Now if I hit cancel when it asks me to save the image it still
 won't burn the CD.

When I tried using the Premiere CD Creator I saw some graphics on there
 as
well. I don't know if this feature can be removed or not. Any
 information
that you all may have about this would be appreciated. I don't want to
 buy
Nero 6.6 if I'm going to encounter the same problem.Thanks.

Brian suggested that less advanced users could benefit from Premier's CD
  creator.

I absolutely agree, and thank you for reminding me of that. I feel a
certain degree of shame for those times when I forget that there really is
  a
solid market for straightforward simplicity. You're right indeed; there
  are
hundreds of blind and low-vision folks who don't want all the arcane
techno-goop that can accompany more advanced CD creators, and certainly
  the
Premier program does, in fact, create a CD as advertised. I still use it
  on
those occasions when I'm in a real hurry, want to just burn something
mega-quick, and get on with other things. I hope my previous messages
didn't imply that the program is a failure; indeed, it is far from that.
  In
fact, for the market for which it was designed, I think it does really
  quite
well. Thanks again, Brian, for reminding me of things I really shouldn't
  have forgotten.

  Kindest Regards,

  Nolan

The program also doesn't appear to import cue sheets, and while it can
output an OGG Vorbis file, it can't use it for input. It allows for no
input from lossless-compression files like FLAC. I wanted to give the
program another chance so I installed the demo again, but still feel, in
fact more than ever, that the program is hugely overpriced and
 underfeatured.

Re: Premere CD Creator

2005-12-27 Thread Bruce Toews
If the program were 20 bucks or so yes, POSSIBLY. But to pay sixty bucks
to be led by the hand and dissuaded from venturing out on your own and
realizing the full potential of the CD equipment I think is not the way to
go. Yes, we need software specifically designed for us in some instances.
But if off-the-shelf software does a better job, for less money, and is
still very accessible, I have a hard time justifying paying more for less
for a user with any level of experience.

Yes, Bruce, I agree that it's over priced and way under ventured. I went so
far as to buy it, but I'm back to Nero with no complaints. I thought maybe
the so-called accessibility features would make it worth the bucks, but I
can get Nero to speak just as easily with the use of good user windows and
 hyperactive windows.

 Hi,

 I
use Premier CD Creator 2. Once it opens, you have several buttons from
which to choose, including create an audio CD. After you've selected that
button, you have some additional options:

You do an F8 to add files; Control+F8 to delete them. Control+D
moves a file down in your list; Control+U moves it up. F6 starts the
 actual
writing process. If you open the file menu, these options are spelled out
 for you.

There doesn't seem to be any way to copy a CD. If this is the 15th reply

Hi Nolan, What version of Nero do you suggest that would be user friendly
with Jaws. I had Nero 5.5 but since I got a new computer with Window's XP I
can't get that version to work any more. Thanks.

I'd like to find a version that has the CD copy feature on it if that is
possible.

I've got Nero 6 Ultra from their website. It said something about
downloading two packages in order to use it. I don't have the serial number
for it. I'm not sure if those versions are the trial versions or not.
Since I don't have a serial number for those versions I haven't been able to
install it.
