hi. there's actually even an easier way.
what's happening is that it's a setup screen.
make sure that the Winamp classic skin is selected, and everything else
should be fine so just click the finish button and you should be good.
Everything that you want is turned on by default.

which is checked, to de-select it.

I've been using Winamp for many many years now quite happily.
I don't create play lists, tag files or use anyplug ins.
All I do is make Winamp my default audio player and either press the enter key
on an album or within Applications, select play in winamp.
