But can I change it? You see, I have a big audio folder [d:\hear]. Btw, my
main hard drive is only 10 mb, but the other hd is 40 mb, so I store my
music there.

Hi,
it gives you the option of having many mixer configurations that you quickly
can switch between.
For example you have one where you have good microphone settings and another
for recording from line in and so on.
It's a nice and easy to use tool.
Best regards

Hi Dennis,
I'm sorry if this seems a bit dense!! I tried to split some plays that I
have recorded using mp3 joiner.
it said that the files were a variable bit rate and could not be split
using the program and to use files that are of the same bit rate.
It is the demo version that I'm using
if i remember correctly it won't do variable. check the read me file i think
it says in there.

Hi Dennis,
Yes it can be changed. When you go into options move to the second tab.
(copy music)
enter the change button and direct it to where you would like your music
stored.

Hi,
The c crane transmitter is available for $69, I believe, and you
can reach them at:
800-522-8863. Their unit is easy to use and covers my entire house. You
can also use it in an automobile to hear books or music through the car
radio. It works with anything that has an earphone
Hi,
The screw boosts the output power. You may not need to tinker
with it if the unit works well enough for your needs. I like to go out
side with a radio on the nice sunny summer days, so I cranked it up.

Thank you Lois,
Do any of you know about the new xm radio receiver put out by Cambridge?
I think it's call the Cambridge xm doc system or something like that?
Is it accessible?
Thanks.

Jerry! Doesn't your USB audio device or pre-amp have a headphone jack?
I have two USB audio devices. The Windows Volume Control for both of them
is pretty limited. Most of the controls are hardware pots and sliders on
the units themselves.

Rusty,
Thanks for the info.
What happens if you plug it into the headphone jack of the speakers? Does it
act like if you put in a headphone in there? I mean do the speakers
themselves stop producing sound?
Thanks,

Ok Dennis,
I am using cdx to record my plays I have set it to record at low quality
to save space on the hard disc.
I don't know why it says these files are variable bit rates I set the
file rate to I think 8000 I'm not very computer savvy yet.
if you or any others could give more help on this
IF YOUR RECORDING MUSIC YOU WANT TO GO WITH A MUCH HIGHER BITRATE. YOU ALSO
MIGHT NEED TO USE A DIFFERENT INCODER OR BE SURE THAT YOUR USING A FIXED
BITRATE.

Hi,
I would suppose that plugging it into the headphone jack would
turn off the speakers, if plugging headphones in does, so your best bet
would be a simple y connector, of which others have written. I love the
unit and use it every day. I have xm radio in my computer, so I transmit
Hi Kevin. You might want to consider raising the sample rate to 22.5 or 44
kHz and a bit rate of 64 kbps or for saving more space 32 kbps. I hope this
helps.
