Peter all, I removed my autoexec.bat, and Norton would no
longer scan at boot up like it previously did (while the PC
is still in DOS right before the desktop loads). Windows did
not recreate it either. So, I just made a new autoexec in
notepad, renamed the extension to .bat and added the

I sure wish I had known about this article when I originally installed the
additional ram on my system - due to the issues raised in the article with
regard to Win98, which I was not aware of when I did the memory install, I
did not know there was a work around as shown in the article. I
