Nope, at least not on win98 it's not.. Disabled startup items can be empty, and you'll still have the previously checked, now unchecked items still in the 'startup' tab under MSCONFIG. I've sometimes wondered myself how to remove them, but never got into it. I would guess they can be removed

I should add the usual warnings about editing the registry here. Wholesale removal of these entries can have serious effects. It does no harm to leave these entries, and I have found it useful to re-enable them at times. Win.ini and system.ini are text files usually found in C:\windows.

Jeff D, This must be done from the registry. Get the program name from msconfig, then open regedit. It is best to click 'registry', then export registry file and choose a location. If somehow you have problems after booting, you will need to double click this back up copy to hopefully repair the

Using Win98 with Outlook Express. When I send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] it actually sends as [EMAIL PROTECTED],com have cleaned out the Address book and there is no @hotmail.msn.com in it. All other mail goes through without any problem. Any ideas?

I use www.registerclub.com @ $10. Another popular one is http://godaddy.com @ $8.95. At registerclub there is no 'redtape' and you can at anytime login and administrate any of your domains (change contact info, DNS, PRI and SEC name servers, etc). I don't know if godaddy is like that or not. I
